About Us

The Australian Shar-Pei Society Inc. was formed in October 2000
to unite the fanciers of Shar-pei dogs across Australia.

Our objectives are:

To promote the responsible ownership of purebred Shar-pei dogs and the ethical breeding to the highest possible quality according to the ANKC standard for the breed.

To encourage social activities including confirmation exhibition, obedience training and good fellowship between owners and fanciers of Shar-Pei dogs.

To promote and ensure as far as possible and practicable the general well-being, health and care of the Shar-Pei

To promote the closest understanding and cooperation between fanciers, owners and breeders of Shar-Pei

To cooperate and liaise with other clubs.

To encourage responsible breeding practices through hereditary disease education.
